The Global Refugee Forum is the world’s largest gathering on refugee issues, bringing together governments, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, and refugee leaders to drive collective action on the commitments made under the Global Compact on Refugees. The 2025 Progress Review in Geneva marked a critical midpoint since the 2023 Forum, with stakeholders taking stock of pledge implementation and charting the path towards GRF 2027.
RLRH colleagues and affiliates attended the Progress Review, joining discussions on how to strengthen accountability and meaningful refugee participation in global policy processes. RLRH co-organised a panel with R-Space alongside colleagues from the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN) and the Tertiary Refugee Student Network, centred on refugee-led movements shaping global policy. It was a valuable opportunity to reconnect with partners and to see RLRH affiliates speaking at events across the Forum, representing their organisations and sharing their expertise on the global stage.
