Graduate Horizons 2026–2027 launching!

The Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for Graduate Horizons 2026–2027, our global graduate degree application support programme for prospective students affected by displacement.

What Graduate Horizons does

Graduate Horizons is a free, six-month online mentorship and graduate application support programme running from November 2026 to April 2027. Participants are paired with an RLRH mentor or staff member to receive structured guidance through group workshops, application clinics, writing bootcamps, and 1:1 support.

The programme supports prospective students preparing applications for 2027 entry, with a focus on Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program partner universities with upcoming deadlines, including:

  • UK & Europe: University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Sciences Po
  • North America: University of California, Berkeley
  • Africa & West Asia: Carnegie Mellon University Africa, University of Global Health Equity, Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), American University in Cairo, and American University of Beirut

Guidance is also available for applicants targeting other universities and fully funded scholarship schemes worldwide.

Who is eligible

To apply for Graduate Horizons, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Displacement background: Identify as having been affected by displacement (e.g., current or former refugee, asylum seeker, IDP, stateless person, or affected by intergenerational dislocation).
  • Academic qualification: Hold, or be in the final year of, a Bachelor’s degree (with results equivalent to a 2:1 classification, 75%, or a 3.0/4.0 GPA).
  • Language proficiency: Able to study and write to a professional standard in English and/or French.
  • Timeline: Plan to submit applications within the next six months for 2027 enrolment.
