Professional Pathways Programmes

The Professional Pathways Programme supports RLRH affiliates who have completed our academic and research programmes to access advanced professional opportunities, bringing transformative refugee leadership to life. We do so via three main areas of programming: 1) providing individualised career counselling to affiliates to identify pathways best suited to their personal and professional aspirations; 2) delivering a stipended in-person advanced traineeship programme across RLRH’s physical hubs, combining foundational professional training with mentorship; and 3) facilitating paid professional placements in partnership with employer partners who are active and influential across different sectors of interest to RLRH affiliates. 

To date, RLRH has facilitated 60+ paid professional placements with partner organisations, including: Chatham House, PILnet, Danish Refugee Council’s Regional Durable Solutions Secretariat (ReDDS), UNITAR’s Global Platform for Action, Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative, Inkomoko, and Jigsaw Education as well as other organisations and research groups worldwide. 

Cutting across all our programmes, we collaborate closely with partner organisations to strengthen inclusive hiring practices and advance systematic inclusion of refugees in the workforce across different sectors.
