Landry Sugira

Landry Sugira is a Digital Learning Specialist at the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH), where he contributes to the academic pillar and supports the Graduate Horizons program. Since 2021, he has worked with RLRH in multiple roles, including curriculum development, managing coaches and assessors, and supervising the learning management system used across the RSC Pathways and RSC Foundations programs. His work centres on improving digital learning experiences and ensuring strong academic and technical support for learners.

Landry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Arts (MA) in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies from the University of London’s School of Advanced Study, funded through a Commonwealth Scholarship. His MA thesis examined refugees’ perspectives on how refugee identity cards shape their livelihoods in Rwanda. He has a broader interest in access to services – especially education – for marginalised communities, including refugees, displaced people in general, and their host communities.

Outside of work, Landry enjoys watching soccer and traveling with friends. His curiosity, collaborative approach, and commitment to learner-focused design guide his contributions to digital education and refugee-led initiatives.
