Tolossa Asrat

Tolossa is a Research Facilitator at the Nairobi hub. He is an early-career migration researcher and specialist focusing on forced displacement, refugee mobility, complementary pathways, and refugee-led approaches to protection and economic inclusion in East Africa. He has extensive experience designing and leading qualitative research across Kenya and South Sudan, with strong expertise in participatory, community-based, and policy-oriented research methodologies. His current research interests include private sponsorship pathways, refugee entrepreneurship, mobility governance, and refugee self-reliance.
