Professional Placements
RLRH’s Professional Placements Programme facilitates paid placements for RLRH affiliates, enabling pathways that allow them to apply their expertise in diverse workplaces environments. We collaborate with partner organisations who are committed to refugee inclusion across different sectors, including but not limited to international development, displacement, education, sustainability, and global health.
Placements may be in-person or remote and are available throughout the year. To date, RLRH has facilitated 60+ placements with partner organisations.
Structure
Placements may be time-bound, with fixed application deadlines and start dates, or rolling, filled when a suitable candidate is identified. All placements run for a minimum of four months, include a defined scope of work with clear supervision, and are structured to support both institutional contribution and professional growth. Activities may include research, policy analysis, project development and implementation, communications, advocacy, and programme coordination.
Support and mentorship
RLRH remains engaged throughout each placement. Affiliates receive structured professional development input and monthly one-to-one mentoring. Host organisations receive guidance in role design and onboarding from RLRH, who continue offering support and coordination for the duration of each placement. All placements are grounded in working arrangements that prioritise the affiliate’s professional growth and skills development, with caring and consistent supervision structures in place.
Partnership
RLRH welcomes collaborations with NGOs, research groups, academic institutions, multilateral agencies, private sector actors, and refugee-led initiatives committed to strengthening inclusive professional pathways.
